PT Swayasa Prakarsa Wins Two Awards from the 2021 Asian Association of Business Incubation
Yogyakarta, November 26, 2021 – PT Swayasa Prakarsa won the 2021 AABI Awards. The AABI Awards took place virtually from November 23 to 25, 2021. PT Swayasa Prakarsa won two awards simultaneously in the Incubator Awards category: the 2021 AABI Torch Award for Technology Transfer and the 2021 AABI Torch Award for Best Nominee. Dr. Bondan Ardiningtyas, M.SC., Apt., Director of PT Swayasa Prakarsa, accepted the award in person. After receiving the award, he delivered several keynote remarks. The presentation included an introduction to PT Swayasa Prakarsa and its strategy to become a leading research-based healthcare industry in Indonesia.
He said, “Our strategy is to become a leading research-based healthcare industry in Indonesia and enter the international market by increasing investment, adopting advanced technology, strengthening human resource competencies, and building collaborations. Alhamdulillah, we are honored and deeply grateful for this award. We would like to thank the team of inventors, the Swayasa Prakarsa team, PT Gama Multi Usaha Mandiri, Gadjah Mada University and UGM Science Techno Park, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, especially the Ministry of Research and Technology, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Industry, and all those who have provided us with moral and material support, many of whom we cannot mention individually. We also thank the entire Indonesian people, who are our greatest motivation to continue providing the best healthcare products for all. Thank you.”
The Asian Association of Business Incubation (AABI) is an international non-profit association focused on developing an incubation ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region. Founded in 2002, the Asian Association of Business Incubation (AABI) promotes business incubation activities among business incubators, client companies, and other related organizations in the Asia-Pacific region. It also aims to foster core incubation businesses among various Asian incubators. AABI also supports ambitious Asian technology SMEs seeking innovation and going international.
AABI holds an Innovation Award, one of its categories being the Incubator Award. AABI designed the AABI Incubator Award to promote incubator development in the Asia-Pacific region. The Incubator Award recognizes incubators with the most outstanding performance over the past year. A judging committee will select the top-performing candidates as winners of the AABI Incubator Award. Each will receive a plaque and a US$500 grant. Winners will receive an official invitation to attend the awards ceremony.
The conference, a collaboration between Thai-BISPA and the Asian Association of Business Incubation (AABI), serves as the culminating event of AABI. The conference serves as an awards ceremony, sharing practices, and connecting with the incubator community from 19 countries and regions. It also serves as an award-winning platform to promote business incubation in the Asia-Pacific region. The event also featured prominent speakers from business incubators, science parks, government, entrepreneurs, academics, corporations, and innovation leaders. The speakers discussed innovative strategies for supporting innovation-driven entrepreneurship at the national and global levels.
