Gamafood is a business unit of PT Swayasa Prakarsa dedicated to the research, development, and production of functional foods and beverages. We combine the richness of natural ingredients with academic research to create healthy food products that are safe, nutritious, and produced in accordance with global standards. The History of Gamafood’s Founding

The Gamafood initiative began in 2017 as a concrete manifestation of PT Swayasa Prakarsa’s implementation of UGM’s mandate for the commercialization of research in the field of functional foods. In this initial phase, production activities were centralized at UGM’s Center for Food and Nutrition Studies (PSPG), focusing on the development of botanical beverages and healthy cookies that hold PIRT and Halal certifications.

As market uptake increased and the company’s commitment to quality escalation grew, Gamafood executed a strategic move in 2020 by relocating all production facilities to the UGM Science Techno Park in Purwomartani. This infrastructure expansion marked a significant leap in our production management. At this new facility, Gamafood has successfully elevated operational standards by obtaining BPOM MD distribution permits, Halal certification, and ISO 22000 international food safety management recognition, while simultaneously expanding its product portfolio into other popular categories rooted in tradition.

Wedang Uwuh Tea, a traditional beverage from Yogyakarta. It contains ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and secang. Mixed in standard proportions to create a delicious and healthy drink. Sugar may be added to taste.
