INA-Shunt is a tool in the form of a tube/channel that connects the ventricle (space in the brain) and the peritoneal (space in the abdomen) which functions to drain excess brain fluid (CSF) to reduce head pressure in hydrocephalus patients with a ventriculoperitoneal semilunar valve shunt system, namely a semicircular valve (semilunar shape valve flap) which works to drain brain fluid in one direction from the ventricular cavity to the abdominal cavity (peritoneal) with minimal risk of blockage and backflow.
